Congratulations again for the outstanding competition in this year's Oratory contest. Press release for your parish bulletin: (Please use the appropriate attached student picture for your bulletin story.) Perhaps your student can deliver his or her 5-7 minute speech to an upcoming parish event. Four students from Gabriel Richard High School were among the five contestants in the High School Pro-Life Oratory Contest sponsored by Downriver affiliates of Right to Life of Michigan. Each student spoke from a pro-life perspective on either euthansia or abortion from moral, scientific and sociological perspectives. All contestants received T-shirts and a precious feet pin the size of a baby's feet 10 weeks after conception. News: Abortion Pill Protest March 2024 | UD-MI RTL Abortion Pills News/Update : On March 26 the Supreme Court heard arguments regarding the FDA regulations of chemical abortion pill distribution. Will they allow the continued tele-medicine prescriptions with no doctor visit for the mother? These deadly pill combinations (mifepristone and misoprostol) always kill the baby and up to 25% of the time mothers have complications which have sometimes led to death. Also on Tuesday March 26 Downriver volunteers participated in the nationwide protest with prayers at CVS and Walgreens in Wyandotte. We need as many people as possible to let our local pharmacies know that they should be places providing medicine to heal, not providing poison and death for innocent unborn children.
